In EMS you learn fast that the loudest complaint isn't always the real problem. You check vitals, you look at what's actually happening, and you treat what's real — not what's panicking the room. Bookkeeping works the same way.
A business owner will come to me stressed about one thing — usually cash feeling tight — and the books will show me something completely different going on underneath. Maybe it's a pricing problem. Maybe it's an expense that crept up without anyone noticing. The stress is real, but it's rarely pointing at the actual issue.
My job is the same as it always was: look past the panic, find what's actually true, and deal with that. The books don't lie. They just need someone willing to read them straight.
